Who it helps

What does a child counsellor help with?

Start here when the week is hard and you want a person your child can talk to.

psychology

Anxiety and worry

Separation worries, racing thoughts, school mornings that fall apart, nights that will not switch off.

favorite

Big feelings and meltdowns

When the body floods and nobody in the room knows what would actually help next.

school

School stress and refusal

Homework battles, exam panic, sensory overload in class, or a child who will not walk in.

groups

Friendships and belonging

Trouble with friends, bullying, playground rules that do not make sense, wanting friends and not knowing how.

diversity_1

Neurodivergent identity

Autistic or ADHD burnout, masking exhaustion, and a space that does not ask them to look typical.

family_restroom

Family counselling

The week, the relationships, and the adults in the room. Parents sit in when that helps the child.

Children

Play, drawing and conversation at their pace. Feelings, school, and the people around them.

Teens

A private conversation they can trust, with parent updates that do not repeat every detail.

Families

Family counselling for the week and the relationships. Parents sit in when that helps the child.

Before you book

Online or in person

In person at Whitefield, or online. You choose the location when you book.

Private and confidential

What a child or teen shares stays with the counsellor. We only share what we must if someone may be at risk of harm.

What parents tell us

4.5 ★

Counselling

“Ume, our child's counseling psychologist, has successfully established a strong connection with our child, actively contributing to the development of her self-esteem. We've noticed a remarkable improvement in Kaveri's confidence since working with Ume.”

Deepa, parent

Counselling

“Meghana's unrelenting optimism, patience and her understanding of the teenage mindset helped my daughter to open up and grow as a person. Meghana shared tools which helped her understand and work through her emotions. The regular feedback provided to me as a parent helped me also to bridge the chasm with my daughter.”

Questions parents ask us

What happens in the first session?expand_more

The first hour is about comfort and safety. The counsellor meets the child or teen, hears what the week has been like, and does not rush a plan. Goals come after the room feels safe enough to talk.

How long do we come for?expand_more

Some families come for a few weeks. Others stay longer while school or home is still hard. We review with you. There is no set number of weeks you have to finish.

How do we start, and what about fees?expand_more

Open a counsellor profile and book a time, or send a short note if you have not picked someone. Sessions typically start at ₹1,500, and packages start from ₹8,000 with 20% off versus booking single hours; each counsellor sets their own fee, confirmed before you book.

Online or in person?expand_more

Younger children often do better in the Whitefield room, where play materials are already there. Teens often prefer online. Families outside Bangalore usually start online. In person is a location you choose at booking, not a slogan.

Do parents sit in?expand_more

For younger children, often yes for part of the session. Teens need a private space or they will not talk. Family counselling is for the adults and the relationships when the week is stuck. We keep parents in the loop on the plan.

Is counselling private and confidential?expand_more

Yes, with an ordinary safety limit. We share what we must if a child or teen may be at risk of harm, or if the law requires it. That is how we keep them safe. It is not a promise that nothing is ever shared.

When is this counselling, not a shadow teacher or therapy at home?expand_more

Counselling is a talking and play space for feelings, identity and relationships. A shadow teacher is an adult in class. Therapy at home is developmental and behavioural support in the daily routine. If you are unsure, tell us the week and we will point you.
