Support in every step of the way
Does my child need a clinical diagnosis to have a shadow teacher?
No. Many families begin with us before a formal diagnosis, or while an assessment is still in progress. A diagnosis helps us and the school build a sharper Individualised Education Plan, and some schools ask for one — but it is not a condition for starting. We will talk through where your child is now and what support makes sense from there.
My child already attends Speech or Occupational Therapy—do they still need a shadow teacher?
Yes. Therapies focus on skill development, while the shadow teacher ensures these skills are applied in everyday classroom settings. Together, they help your child generalize learning and build real-world independence.
What is a shadow teacher, and how can they help my child?
A shadow teacher (or learning support assistant) works one-on-one with your child inside the classroom to make learning more inclusive and less stressful. They assist with classroom participation, social interaction, and achieving Individualised Education Plan (IEP) goals. Shadow teachers are especially helpful for neurodivergent children or those with ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, or slow learning needs.
How can I find out if my child needs a shadow teacher?
A shadow teacher can make a significant difference for children who require additional classroom support to thrive. To understand if your child could benefit, book a free consultation now.
How soon can a shadow teacher start?
Timing depends on matching, school permissions and your child’s profile. In the free consultation we will give you a realistic start window for your situation, not a generic promise.
Will the school agree to this?
Most partner schools already work with classroom support. If your school is new to shadow teachers, we help you open that conversation and explain how the role works alongside the class teacher.
Do you work with CBSE, ICSE and IB schools?
Yes. We support children in CBSE, ICSE and IB classrooms. The shadow teacher adapts to how your school runs the day, rather than asking the school to change its board.
What if my child already has a therapist?
That is common, and useful. Therapies build skills; the shadow teacher helps those skills show up in the classroom. We coordinate with the therapists you already trust when you want us to.
