A shadow teacher is not a second class teacher and not a nanny. In the first fortnight we watch how the child enters, how the room sounds, and where the day breaks.
What we look for
Transitions, peer load, and the one adult the child already trusts. Then we write a short plan the class teacher can use without a meeting every afternoon.
What we do not do
We do not rewrite the curriculum on day three. If the school wants an IEP rewrite, that is a different piece of work.
